About Biljik Rugs
Biljik rugs are premium hand-knotted Afghan wool rugs prized for their soft feel, subtle sheen, rich colors, and refined geometric patterns. Typically woven at approximately 130–250 KPSI, depending on the piece, their dense knotting creates crisp motifs and detailed borders. Fine wool and low pile combine comfort with everyday practicality, bringing warmth and understated elegance to living rooms, bedrooms, and offices. Each handmade Biljik rug is one of one, offering distinctive character and enduring craftsmanship.
- Vacuum regularly on a low or no-beater-bar setting, taking care around the fringe.
- Rotate the rug every 6-12 months for even wear.
- Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing.
- Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to help preserve color.
- We recommend a rug pad underneath to prevent slipping and extend the rug's life.
- For deeper cleaning, use a wool-safe professional rug cleaner every 1-2 years.
