This 3 x 5 ft Teal Blue Chobi rug is hand-knotted from 100% wool over a cotton foundation, in the vegetable-dyed Ziegler tradition. Three large floral-geometric medallions and scattered botanical motifs spread across a rich teal blue field in cream, red, navy blue, muted green, tan, and brown, with a wide cream border with repeating geometric floral motifs, framed by narrow decorative blue and red borders. The natural dye process gives the color gentle striation (abrash) rather than flat, uniform tone — a mark of hand craftsmanship, not a flaw. The balanced layout reads calm rather than busy, and the wool pile has a soft, slightly antique finish that complements the traditional Afghan Chobi character.
