These contrasting tones add warmth and depth, creating a distinctive foundation for your furniture. Low pile offers a practical profile for everyday spaces, while individually tied knots reveal the care behind its detailed pattern. Natural variations give this handmade wool rug its own identity—a one-of-one piece with history and character.
About Baluch Rugs
Baluch rugs, also known as Baloch or Baluchi, reflect the weaving heritage of Baluch communities across Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan. Known for rich colors, geometric motifs, and symbolic tribal patterns, these hand-knotted wool rugs bring warmth, history, and individual character to your home. Typically woven at approximately 60–200 KPSI, depending on the piece, their compact construction and low pile offer everyday durability for living rooms, bedrooms, and entryways.
- Vacuum regularly on a low or no-beater-bar setting, taking care around the fringe.
- Rotate the rug every 6-12 months for even wear.
- Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing.
- Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to help preserve color.
- We recommend a rug pad underneath to prevent slipping and extend the rug's life.
- For deeper cleaning, use a wool-safe professional rug cleaner every 1-2 years.
